Windows 10 with Avast

I had a few clients having serious problems with Windows 10. In task manager the disk usage would be pegged at 100% and the system would be unusable. I did a search to see if other people were having the same issue and sure enough they were. There are a bunch of answers on the internet as to how to fix this. Like disabling Supper Fetch, Windows Search and Windows Compatibility Telemetry. All of this would work but the systems never seemed like they were running perfectly to me. Then whenever Microsoft pushed out a new update all of these services would be enabled again. Microsoft appears to have resolved some of these problems now. We will see. I always suspected there was also a compatibility problem with Windows 10 and Avast antivirus software. I even started switching some of my clients to Bitdefender and it helped. Then this article came out and even though it does not directly link this problem with Avast, I am not so sure it didn’t add to the problem. I did have one client who did have these symptoms with the Blue Screen after an update. I fixed it without knowing what the cause was at the time.
